Workflow
- Review new inbound customer messages and requests.
- Confirm whether the message belongs in sales follow-up, fulfilment, or support.
- Respond or route it without losing the customer context.
Reservations
Booking entries carry the full reservation at a glance, so you can act without opening anything else:
- the guest, the item or table booked, the date and time, the party size, and any dietary notes the guest gave;
- a Next line that states the one action the reservation needs (for example “Confirm or decline this reservation”);
- Confirm and Cancel buttons that name the specific booking — a screen reader announces them as, for example, “Confirm Jane Smith, Table for 2 at 6:30 PM”.
Confirming or cancelling always shows you the exact reservation first, then tells you what happened: a short “working” state while it runs, a green note when it succeeds (“Confirmed — the guest’s booking is now confirmed”), or a red note if it fails — the booking is unchanged and you can simply try again. Cancelling asks for a reason and explains that the guest will see the booking as cancelled.
Urgent reservations that still need you (a booking waiting to be confirmed, one that needs a new time, or a double-booking to untangle) also appear in your workspace “What needs you now” queue, kept separate from your digital team’s other decisions. New customer enquiries that haven’t been replied to or routed yet appear there too (“Reply to …”), so a waiting lead is never visible only in this inbox.
Orders
Order entries show who ordered, what they ordered (for example “2× Margherita Pizza”), the total, and the order’s current stage. Every order moves through one simple lane:
pending → accepted → ready → fulfilled (or cancelled at any point before it’s fulfilled).
- a Next line states the one action the order needs (for example “Accept this order to start preparing it”);
- one button moves the order forward — Accept order, then Mark ready, then Mark fulfilled — and Cancel is available until the order is fulfilled;
- cancelling always shows you the exact order first and explains that it won’t be prepared.
As with reservations, each action shows a short working state, then a green note on success or a red note on failure (the order is unchanged and you can try again).
What To Watch
- enquiries that never get converted into owned follow-up work
- inbox items missing the storefront or offer context they came from
- operators using inbox as a long-term CRM instead of a response queue
- bookings left on Confirm or decline while the reservation date approaches
